Equal parts foodie and fashionista, Mai Nguyen’s love of fine cuisine is rivalled only by her enthusiasm for clothes. Mai started cooking at a young age but by age 20 her passion for cooking took off after trying to recreate some of the great food she experienced in various restaurants. A true Albertan, Mai’s favourite ingredient to cook with is beef and her favourite dish to prepare is Beef Tataki. While Mai is sure to be one of this season’s most stylish home cooks, she is driven to gain as much knowledge as possible during her “MasterChef Canada” journey.
