Harjeet Mehdwan

Chef Harjeet Mehdwan is a Hotel Management graduate and started his career with Hotel Le Meridien in New Delhi. After acquiring his basic skills, he moved to the US, working for the Carnival Cruise Lines where he was a part of the inaugural and set up team for 7 of the Cruise Lines brand new vessels and for cooking for up to 5000 people including the guest, staff and crew.
Chef Harjeet has trained under some of the best Chefs in the industry including French Chef, Georges Blanc, a culinary master.
He moved to Edmonton in 2007 and has since worked in different organizations in the capacity of Head Chef and Executive Chef ranging from Pubs and Restaurants to large Conference Center hotel and being a culinary consultant. Chef Harjeet is a Certified Chef de Cuisine from the Canadian Culinary Federation and is also a Chef Member of the same organization in addition to being the Culinary vice Counsellor for Chaine des Rotisseurs, an international food and wine society. He is also a Certified Wine Steward from the International Sommeliers Guild and holds the Certified Food & Beverage Executive designation from American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
He recently accepted a position as a Culinary Arts Instructor at NAIT to train and mentor the young chefs.
